So everyone used to use Semagic to post on LJ, right? But Semagic isn't optimized for DW, and before I download anything I was hoping to get some advice.

Features I'm looking for:

-Doesn't screw up formatting. I have such a hard time with italics and <hr> tags and whatnot when I try to post sfrom my browser. LJ cuts never seem to work right too.

-It would be great if I could paste stuff from Google Docs or Word into it, although I doubt there's any client that could deal with the ugly code that Google Docs and Word produce.

-Compatibility with both PC and Mac would be nice, although just PC would be fine.

-Crossposting from DW to LJ. 

-Easy to edit entries in the future, either from the client program or from a browser. 

-General lack of bugs! 


Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

It was generally bug-less when I was using Semagic, yes. Cross-posting tutorials are available, but I prefer just checking the "crosspost" box in DW's own settings, rather than crossposting manually with a client. I use the web update page nowadays, though, just because it's generally easier for me (especially since I have a web browser open all the time for e-mail.) I haven't tried copy-pasting from Gdocs or Word, though.

What program/platform do you usually write fanfics in? I use google docs and it used to be fine, but I think it embeds more horrible garbage html than it used to and it is hard to take out.

XD I'm old-school. Text editor. I don't use Notepad, though. I alternate between a few. NoteTab Lite while they had a free version. Crimson Editor. Notepad++. Those guys. I code the tags in by hand.

I used to use Notepad and put in the tags myself but then I got lazy. :D I think I wouldn't mind a WYSIWYG HTML editor though. I like to see what the italics look like on the page as I'm writing. I think the ones you use are more than I need. :D
