I watched it last night! Excellent, excellent movie, and really original...you've gotta love Pixar's moxy.

Yes, when I watched it in America, I kept thinking, "Wow, I wonder if some people are kind of ticked off about this..." You could view the movie as making fun of overweight people, although I believe it was more about taking initiative and control of your own life (the obesity was a symptom rather than the illness itself).

I didn't see the movie as making fun of overweight people at all! I thought it was making fun of me because I am exactly the sort of person who does nothing and doesn't have a lot of initiative. As you said, obesity is a symptom rather than the illness itself (both in the movie and in the real world).

I kind of wondered why almost all the humans in the movie were Caucasians. Like, shouldn't the America of the future be 50% Mexican? ^_~
