Next week is a good week for Lord of the Rings in Vancouver. The "One Man Lord of the Rings" show is on again (along with the equally awesome "One Man Star Wars") and the auditions for the LotR musical are being held on April 2:
This is vaguely embarrassing.
From what it sounds like, anybody can walk in and audition for this thing, except for males between 5'7' and 5'11' according to an ad I saw. Ya gotta be either really short or really tall to be in this one.
Too bad I'm not going to be in town for the One Man shows. Again. Oh well, I've already seen them both and they'll be showing again.
(inside I'm seething)
I would say "Happy Easter and assorted pagan holidays!" except it's Good Friday today, when all Good Christians should be reflecting on the wretched sinfulness of their immortal souls. Well, okay, so that's not really what you're supposed to do, but you shouldn't be happily hunting easter eggs or anything like that. But I'm going to make caramel apples and pysanky (dyed Ukrainian eggs) with my brother just the same. Take that, Good Friday!
