This, too, is fandom

So, um, I'm alive! And I have internet at home! It was totally painless to set it up! (eat your heart out,
usagivindaloo!) I can't stop using exclamation points!
So, Japan. Where do I start. Japan is a country. It is a hot country. But it's not super hot. I like Japan.
(sorry, I'm in my teaching mode).
I don't think I can really post about Japan right now. It's too much to take in. More specifically, it's too much to type and right now I have a goddamn lot of marking to do. I have so much marking that I'm going on a trip across the prefecture tomorrow just so that I have to spend lots and lots of time on the train away from my glorious, glorious internet connection so I can get some marking done. *sob*
Well, I might also be going across the prefecture to attend a kabuki festival.
Is it just me, or is complaining about writing fic for
blind_go more fun than the actual writing?
In other fandoms it's like, "you have one hour to write a fic okay read set and go now," but in Hikago fandom it's more like, "we have two months to write a fic ohmygod there's not enough time I'm going to diiiiiiieeee!" God, I love procrastinating. It's the only thing that makes me feel alive!
That said, I totally know what I want to write and have actually written a good chunk. Nya nya na na na.

Date: 2006-09-01 11:03 pm (UTC)I think you should just submit that comment as a fic and you'll win best-in-show for sure! Not that there is a best-in-show prize, but you know everyone's trying to be impressive.
I'm not actually done mine--it's all scattered in itty bits too--but I'm pretty sure I know how to put it all together. Or that's what I say now. Just wait until I actually try to do it at 3am on Sept. 14.
Also, icon love!
