Utada Hikaru again

Utada Hikaru's music video for "Passion," the theme song to Kingdom Hearts 2, sucks ass. Unfortunately. :( It starts out pretty well and gets worse as it goes along. But at least some of the imagery is tied to the game.

Passion is such a lovely song and I'm ignoring the MV for it. I'm sticking with the opening sequence of KH 2 for that one. XD

And KH2 is so much love.

Exactly! Square knows how to make a music video way better than Utada Hikaru's crew.

KH2 is totally love! I replayed a bit of KH1 recently and it reminded how much fun it is to just run around and bash the living daylights out of heartless.

agreed! i don't play the game, but i loved the song the second i heard it... and then was disappointed more and more by the video. XD i go through phases where i'll like bits and pieces of it, but for the most part i can't sit through it.

I loved the song the minute I heard it too! It's so evocative and weird. She does some pretty clever things with the lyrics too, when I can understand them. Such a shame the MV is so bad.

Actually, almost all of Utada Hikaru's music videos are pretty crappy which is a damn shame, given how amazing some of her songs are.

I find j-pop mustic videos pretty crappy in general, actually (not that I've seen very many). Though sometimes they're good for a laugh.
