The Yu-Gi-Oh abridged versions are so darn amusing to watch. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of those series that I watched much, much later on when it wasn't as popular. And I have to admit that I understand why people got addicted to it. ^^;;

The great thing about the abridged eps is that they're so short you don't feel like you're wasting your life away watching a show about card games. But then, I watched the dub pretty religiously when it was popular...and I'm not ashamed to admit it!

XD XD XD The English dubbed had me gritting my teeth in annoyance. It might be because I got used to the Filipino voices of the main characters along with Seto Kaiba (his voice was much better, IMO).

One that I really liked about the series was the Egyptian arc...and well...XD XD I did like the strategy thing when it came to the duels in itself since I do play card games not Yu-gi-oh per se, but I grasp the basics...so..Ehem. ^^;;

It's a fun way to watch the series again.

The English dub is so bad it's good! Or at least it's good fodder for the abridged eps.

It seems like dubs in any language are better than what we get in English, from what I hear. And the dubbed songs are always better too. What is up with that?

I've yet to see the Egyptian arc...I'm thinking of reading that part of the manga one of these days since I no longer have easy access to the dub (and I'm too lazy to download such a long series). It seems like they drop the card-playing and just beat the hell out of each other with monsters in the Egyptian arc? How are they supposed to sell cards then?

I have no idea, really. They never did dub the songs here so in that way I was really thankful. have you listened to the German songs for Yu-Gi-Oh? They're kinda cool.

There's a download available for the Egyptian arc available? Wah! Anyway as for the card game back on the good old days of Ancient Egypt...Well that was the use of the minor pyramids! There they kept those huge stone tablets where the monsters are sealed into. Then they have these nifty deul disks (much prettier than the duel disks Kaiba made) that they use to summon the monsters. And in order to summon monsters, they must have a really strong magic...and I must say I liked the anime version of the arc as much as I like the manga version.

They didn't dub the Yu-Gi-Oh songs in English either (as if 4Kids would pay the rights for the original songs). I was actually thinking of anime dubs in general. :)

H-hey, the German version got a second intro song. No fair! The English dub has been using the same intro song forever.

I kind of assumed that there are scanlations of the Egyptian arc available, but I've only been able to find a small part at http://www.janime.biz/scanindex.html. Whee! I'm gonna go read it now!
