Lookie here, a Kingdom Hearts 2 fic! Starts directly from the end of the game. Spoilers, kind of. No spoilers for the sekkrit ending though.
THE BEST KINGDOM HEARTS 2 FIC EVER
Dear Sora and Riku (and Kairi),
Hope things are going well with you guys! I was just wondering if you enjoy sitting around sipping piƱa coladas on that gorgeous tropical island of yours when there are only countless billions of Heartless and Nobodies RIPPING THE HEARTS OUT OF PEOPLE EVERYWHERE IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE YOU LAZY SONS OF BITCHES.
Minnie lost an eye yesterday. Get your asses over here.
No love,
Mickey
"Oh right," said Sora, "I guess we kind of forgot about that."
Kairi had a thoughtful look on her face. "Why did he put my name in parentheses?"
"...yeah, I wonder if he got Leon to write this for him? It sounds like Leon."
Riku shivered. "No, it's King Mickey. Trust me, I know."
"I guess we should get going then, huh?" said Kairi.
"Yeah, I guess we should," Sora sighed.
-END-
So, I've read all the
blind_go fics (and have written down about three guesses, yay). Alas, blind_go is almost over. I feel sad. What will I do without a glut of Hikago fics to agonize over?
Actually, what I'm really feeling sad about is that I can't go to the Tokyo Game Show this weekend, or to yonder ginormous Sumo tournament (also in Tokyo), or to a nearby Samurai parade, because I'll be cooking chicken adobo for fifty people at my town's Holland Festival. Yeah, that's right. Holland Festival. In Japan.
Admittedly, it's more of an international festival than anything, I think (hence the chicken adobo), but the poster has cute Dutch people dancing on it and there are Dutch flags hanging all over town. They compliment the windmill and dairy cows nicely.
I may sound weirded out but I love my town. :)

Date: 2006-09-22 12:50 pm (UTC)I thought that the KH1 secret ending was pretty cracked too. So even though I was totally surprised by KH2's ending, I wasn't that surprised to be surprised if you know what I mean.
Thanks. :)

Date: 2006-09-21 03:34 pm (UTC)Good luck on the chicken adobo! :D We use a recipe with hard-boiled eggs and tofu for the vegetarians in the house.

Date: 2006-09-22 12:51 pm (UTC)Actually, hard-boiled eggs and tofu sounds really good in adobo sauce.

Date: 2006-09-22 01:57 pm (UTC)Hard-boiled eggs and tofu absorbs a bit of the sauce while cooking, so it's salty-sour as well. ^_^ When I was a poor and struggling student I'd eat a tiny set meal consisting of one
adobeadobo egg, a cup of rice, and a small-sized drink.no subject
Date: 2006-09-23 01:44 am (UTC)Your poor-struggling-student meal sounds like some of the meals I'm eating in Japan when I'm too lazy to cook or even go to the convenience store...pickles on rice!

Date: 2006-09-23 01:11 pm (UTC)Pickles on rice, yum! ^o^ I'm fond of salty, sour-sweet things, so that sounds perfectly good to me. >_> A bit sad though - how about some insant ramen? Four minutes and voila! Hikaru's favorite meal!

Date: 2006-09-24 11:50 am (UTC)Veggies I like:
-carrots
-potatoes (not exactly a veggie, but...)
-green beans
-bean sprouts
-broccoli
...actually, this list could go on forever. I'll just tell you that I don't like bitter melon (goya) and I'm not too fond of bok choy. There are lots of veggies I like that I don't know the name of, so I wouldn't even be able to complete the list.
I love sweets. Leche flan makes me think I've died and gone to heaven. Maybe I'll try making it in my Japanese microwave that has oven capabilities (it can also toast and grill).
There are so many kinds of pickles here! You'd love it. :)
