AlphaGo should probably be referred to as an "it," but I've heard people referring to it as "she"? (Can anyone confirm?)
Any chance you've read the Imperial Radch series by Ann Leckie? That series sure gave me a lot of feels about AI and pronoun choice. Not coincidentally, I heard the author reference AlphaGo in a speech this past weekend.
