Hurrican Haiyan/Yolanda

If you haven't donated to the relief effort for Hurricane Haiyan/Yolanda, it's definitely not too late. The Philippines is not a rich country (though it's certainly not as poor as Haiti), and the effects of this disaster are going to last for years. It makes sense to donate now rather than later, since many governments are matching donations (double your money!), and the funds will do the most good right now.
Most of my relatives live in the Philippines, and though none of them were in the affected areas, they are feeling it.
Food for thought:
Aquino government vows to curb graft in typhoon aid
Thank goodness for Aquino. The Philippines has needed a decent president for a long time.
Canada is in the right place with typhoon disaster relief
Getting to the little places no one else getting to = smart. Yay Canada.
Who pays for climate change?
This is a depressing. Boo Canada. Boo the developed world.
