Leaving on a Jet Plane
So, I'm leaving on Friday for a vacation to Europe with my family. Woot. I'll be gone from June 30 to July 17. If I don't sound as excited as I ought to, well, that's because some bad stuff happened this week.
I'm also going to be moving to Japan for a year (!), leaving in early August. I am getting progressively more freaked out as my departure date approaches. So many things to do!
In terms of LJ, this means that I'm not going to be online as much for the next couple of months.
There was an article today in the Vancouver Sun about the latest fad (at least I've never heard of it): women marrying themselves. They even get wedding presents.
Some people might be able to make feminist statements about such an event--but I just want to say WANK WANK WANK WANKITY WANK.

Okay, I'll stop being nosy. ^_^ But Good luck! And with your European trip too. And sorry about the bad stuff. *hugs* But anyways, safe journeys, and may you have wonderful stories to tell when you get back!

I'm going to Japan to be an assistant English teacher, armed with a tiny bit of teaching experience and a tiny bit of Japanese. But I speak English real good, yar. The town I'm going to sounds absolutely fantastic, and is exactly the sort of place I'd hoped to be placed in.
I guess I should post some travel stories in my journal...but I'm totally lazy about that kind of thing. I'll try though. :>

And dude, are you going to be a fellow JET alumni?! XD You are going to have a blast. Though the acronym ESID is gonna get tiresome after awhile. *nods*
And yes, you should post travel stories. And the culture clash. These are the things you are going to look back on years later and go "XD!!!" (It was for me, at any rate.)
EEE! Congratulations and good luck!

It seems like there are a lot of people out there who end up doing the teach in Japan thing (or China, or Taiwan, or South America...). So maybe I will post some of my stories about Japan. I'm sure I'll want to vent at some point. I'll post about Europe soon too, as soon as I get over my natural laziness. :)

hope you enjoy your trip and take good care of yourself!! ^_^
er.. and as for the Yakitate! Japan scans you've kindly offered, it's okay.
You see, I usually leech off my friend's chinese copy. ^^;;;;
(unless you want more images turned into crack edits of course...)

Heh, I don't think Yakitate needs to any editing to be cracked. And I'm not going to make you do any more crack edits, you've already
