New Rurouni Kenshin manga

So the Watsuki Nobuhiro has started an AU version of Rurouni Kenshin:

Only two chapters so far. There's also an episode zero, but I haven't seen a translated version yet.

From what I hear, it's not the same story as the live-action movie version that was recently released.

Does anyone know any good, short Rurouni Kenshin fanfics that would be appropriate to give to a Gr. 10 ESL (English as a Second Language) student I'm tutoring? I'm trying to get him to read more in his free time. A humour fic would be nice, but other genres would be fine too, as long as the vocab/content isn't too difficult. His favourite character is Kenshin.
