Wow, this was just awesome. When I first saw what you crossed I was weirded out, but really, it's perfect, it makes sense.
It makes me want to reread Ender's game, it's been years but it used to be pretty much my favourite novel.
It also makes me want AU fic where Hikaru and Akira are commanders/military of some sort - Go is a tactical game after all.
