If you have an android device, they might have some interesting apps that iPhone doesn't...for example, I know that the popular flash card app anki is free on android (or something very similar to anki, with the same huge flash card database), whereas on iPhone it's $35!

If you're using a popular textbook for your Japanese courses, there might be some good supplement apps out there :)
