Maybe I'll check out the manga for Baby Steps and Eyeshield then--although usually I end up watching the anime so that I can multitask (and then end up not really knowing what happened) or because my mom wants to watch :D

I'm reading HQ pretty much right as it comes out...it's the closest thing to SD that I've read in a long time so it hits all my happy buttons :D Daiya II is a bit of a weird animal for me, so I think I might wait for the anime for that one.

Oh my god, I did not know there was a male cheerleading series out there. That just went to the top of my list. I've been meaning to look at Battery too, since my friend who actually plays baseball likes it. Man, there are so many baseball series out there!
